Production of Coal and Methane through Excavation and Transportation
of Large Blocks Coal to a Grinding Chamber. Unlimited Technical Possibilities

Abstract
The article proposes a new method of coal production in walls. The new wall coal excavation technology is based not on the coal massif destruction leading to copious methane and coal dust emissions but on cutting in it thin slots which are longitudinal along the wall length and traversal at the end of the wall. All the operations are machine-assisted and coal blocks are delivered from the wall for a machine-assisted loading to be further transported in electric locomotive-driven trains to an isolated grinding chamber. When in the grinding chamber the coal blocks are processed to produce stream coal which is subsequently transported to the shaft and the methane produced in the block destruction is transported along the hole drilled down from the surface and delivered to the surface for disposal. Thanks to this technology the methane and coal dust emissions in the wall are kept low which ensures the work safety.

Keywords
Coal, Methane, Large coal block extraction in the wall, Grinding chamber, Production, Productivity, Cost price.
