Milestone of Billion Tons of Coal Got Over
Abstract
The year 2014 is special for OJSC "SUEK" - in December 2002, the company got its current name, and in this March the coal-mining facilities comprehended in the company mined one billion tons of coal. If to line all rail cars sent to consumers, such train will be 210 thous. km long and more than five times will work round the globe along equator. Over a period from 2003, the annual volumes of production grew by 1,3 times, and production rate by 2,2 times and today OJSC «Siberian Coal Energetic Company» is the largest company in the Russian Federation and one of the leading corporations of the world. Ahead of the Miner’s Day, Deputy Director General of OJSC "SUEK" Vladimir Artemyev tells about achievements of the companies in the past and the current year.

Abstract
«One can grow even during the crisis!» - belieives Evgueny P. Yutyayev, General Director of OJSC "SUEK-Kuzbass". We met E. P. Yutyayev on the eve of the Miner’s Day. In the course of the meeting the head of one of the largest coal companies in Kuzbass answered a number of vital questions. The article results the track records and achievements of “SUEK-Kuzbass” in the current year, it describes the company facilities, investments, successes of facers, drift miners, openers, actions being taken in the field of labour and industrial safety, degassing of layers and metane recycling, reconstruction of concentrating capacities, about nature protection actions and social policy conducted by the company.

In 2014, the open-pit mine "Chernogorsky" of LLC "SUEK-Khakasia" celebrates 55 years from the date of its foundation. The basic events in the current life of the facility are told by Gennady N. Shapovalenko, Director of the open-pit mine "Chernogorsky" of "SUEK-Khakasia", Full Cavalier of the Miner's Glory Sign, who was, by the way, born in Chernogorsk and is the age mate of the open-pit mine, on the eve of the Miner’s Day he will celebrate his 55-th anniversary.

“Mining School 2014”
Abstract
The largest youth scientific and practical forum of mining branch of Russia - Mining School 2014, successfully passed in Minusinsk district of Krasnoyarsk region from July 8 to July 11, 2014. The forum’s purpose is to promote professional, leader and creative potential of young specialists of industry, as well to share the unique experience accumulated in the industry. Carrying out of the forum is provided for by the concept of improvement of system of preparation and advance training of personnel for coal industry accepted at the federal level of the Ministry of Energy of Russia and this one of Education and Science of Russia.

Abstract

In fact, the “Kuzbassrazrezugol” history is, as a matter of fact, the that of the Kuzbass coal open mining, and those who have founded it and still creates today, write not only their biography, this one of each separate open-pit mine or company, but all coal "heart" of Russia named Kuzbass. The article describes the company history, its today’s condition and plans for the future.

As of today, TopProm Holding is one of the most dynamically growing coal facilities of Kuzbas. In May 2014, its share of coal concentrate shipments made 12% among industrial holdings of Russia, which is the second result for shipments after «EvrazHolding» (18%). In 2014, CJSC TsOF «Shchedrukhiskaya», which is one of Holding affiliates, will celebrate its fifth anniversary. On the eve of the anniversary, General Director CJSC «TopProm» À.Ì. Borshchevich was interviewed by the UGOL Magazine.

Premium-class coal will be shortly presented to the world market under a new trademark "KONZANT" (Zamchalovsky anthracite concentrate), which will even more improve its recognition and competitiveness.

Typification of Mining-and-geological and Technological Conditions of Application
of Highwall Complexes (at Example, Coal Seam "Kyrgaysky 63" Sokolovsky Deposit)
Abstract
The paper proposes a typification of conditions for possible of the application of Highwall complexes formed in conditions limit the bead. It is shown that one of the main criteria for the use of technology drill out coal by Highwall complexes is possible level of extraction of reserves. The technique for calculating potential losses for drilling out coal of Highwall complexes, taking into account the specifics of geological and technological conditions of the coal seam «Kyrgaysky 63» Sokolovsky deposit. For further development of the technology necessary to solve the following issues: assessment of impact parameters nonworking side; analysis to reduce losses; security operations; study the dependence of process parameters on the design of the idle mining pit wall.

XXI International Specialized Exhibition “Ugol Russia and Mining” and V Specialized
Exhibition “Security, Industrial and Personal Safety”: Summary, Events and Facts
Abstract
The XXI International “Ugol Russia and Mining” Trade Fair recognized as the world show No 1 related to underground mining techniques, and the V Labour and Life Activity Protection and Safety Trade Fair took place from June 3 to June 6 in Novokuznetsk in Kuzbasskaya Yarmarka Exhibition Complex. Organizers of the events are two exhibition companies - Kuzbasskaya Yarmarka and Messe Duesseldorf GmbH (Germany). High level of Coal forum is confirmed by Signs of the largest exhibition associations: UFI – Universal Fair Industry and RUEF – Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. Since 2003, this project has been taking place under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The article reviews the firms-participants of the “Ugol Russia and Mining” Trade Fair and their exhibits – equipment displayed in the fair. It presents also laureates of the “Ugol Russia and Mining 2014” Trade Fair.
