Summary of the XII International Special Coal Production and Processing
Technology & Equipment Exhibition

Abstract
On September 4 to 7 in Donetsk, Ukraine at EXPODONBASS exhibition center the 12th international special coal production and processing technology & equipment exhibition “Ugol/Mining 2012” – Ukraine’s only cable forum and one of the biggest events across the CIS and rest of the World. The results of cooperation between the special EXPODONBASS exhibition center and Messe Duesseldorf, Germany are close to the record 1983 with 30000 m? holding 526 exhibitors from 20 countries of the world such as Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan. Belarus, Germany, Checz Republic, China, Poland, Finland, Sweden and Austria. Compared to the figures of a very successful exhibition in 2010 the total number of exhibitors has increased by 10% and the exhibition area has grown by 50%. A considerable part of machinery was operable so the exhibition was viewed as a big single “live” mechanism. The number of visitors over four days of the exhibition exceeded 20000 people. This once again confirmed the importance of efficiency of “Ugol/Mining 2012” for the industry, exhibitors and visitors. The article provides an overview of exhibitors and visitors of the exhibition.

“Zolotarev’s Safe Coal Mine”
(The RF patent No2422639 dd. 19.11.2009.)

Abstract
The article offers a new “Zoltarev’s Safe Coal Mine” flowchart with the production output of 6 mln tpy. One breakage heading section and one preparatory section working in opposite wings of the mine field are in operation. A flow-through ventilation scheme is used where the operators are in the open and the outlet current is guided away through the ventilation channel. The stripped area is degassed by taking out a methane-air mixture through the linkages between the drift being quenched and the ventilation channel. The 24 hour methane discharge from the cracked near-face area is done by means of the wells inclined towards the face. Wet air from the conveyer drift is fed through some wells while dusty air is discharged to the ventilation drift through the other wells. After the extraction field has been developed combustible gases featuring a calorie content of 20 MJ from the 20 to 30 m wide abandoned posts are sucked by injecting a gas-vapour mixture into an annular channel. On the basis of a classical pyrolysis a combustible gas made up of hydrogen Í2, carbon monoxide ÑÎ and methane ÑÍ4 is used in power generation gas-engine units.

Underground Miner Moving Mechanisms

Abstract
The author has developed and patented shaft-sinking sets (units) to be used in underground conditions with a functional quality coefficient FPK=1 with a gripper and walker – walker and gripper and sliding – sliding mechanisms and determines the causes of a “trample” effect (vibration) and ways of eliminating their influence on the mine tunnel walls: roof, soil and sides using damping units by way of hydropneumatic accumulators in the actuating cylinder head end.
