Abstract

The strategic priorities of the spatial development of the Russian coal industry are analyzed in accordance with the current Program for the development of the industry for the period up to 2035. The assessment of the industry resource and production potential, including balance reserves and dynamics of coal production in the regions of Eastern Siberia and the Far East for the period 2015-2021, as well as scenario forecasts of coal mining development in these macro-regions is given. The main factors influencing the development of resource and production potential in the field of coal mining and processing related to the implementation of investment projects of supporting infrastructure (transport, energy, social, environmental, etc.), including on the principles of public-private partnership, are identified. The relevance of the development of methodological and methodological foundations of socio-ecological and economic justification and the subsequent choice of possible ways to develop the supporting infrastructure in the development of coal deposits and other minerals is shown.
