Abstract

The issue of reducing the time spent on organizing mass explosions is especially relevant in the intensive development of quarries with the preparation of rock mass for excavation by drilling and blasting, where mining equipment is mainly operated by electric drive. Significant time losses are associated with the organization of the movement of electrical equipment outside the danger zone and back. The publication discusses the main methods of reducing the corresponding time costs, which are based on reducing the average monthly number of explosive days and justifying the reduction of the radius of the danger zone for mining equipment by the spread of individual pieces of rock mass. The article substantiates measures to reduce the risk of negative events associated with the potential threat of damaging factors with an increase in the volume of simultaneously exploding rock mass, including the use of artificial barriers to reduce the seismic impact of the explosion and rational inter-well decelerations.
