Abstract

The article considers the factors of influence on labor safety in the coal industry. It was revealed that the gas factor plays an important role in underground coal mining. The main works devoted to carrying out early degassing were considered, studies aimed at the development of coal deposits and the production of coal-bed methane were considered. The necessity of creating a mechanism for the state order for the advance degassing of highly gas-bearing coal seams, due to which the risks of sudden methane emissions and explosions in mines will be reduced, will provide an innovative way for the development of the Russian coal industry in the long term.
