Abstract

Introduction. The article discusses methods for reducing background noise during vibroacoustic testing of coal crusher engines on specialized test benches in acoustic chambers.

Materials and Methods. To minimize the background noise of driveunits and supporting structures of t he test bench, a number of technical solutions are proposed: damping of the load-bearing frame, use of an acoustic capsule for the upper support bearing unit, use of noise-absorbing designs for drive protective covers, guide rails and volume sound absorbs.

Results. The effectiveness of the proposed solutions for reducing background noise has been experimentally confirmed.

Conclusions. The presen ted technical solutions provided a significant reduction in the background noise of the test bench, which allows obtaining objective data on the noise characteristics of coal crusher engines without taking into account the distorting effect of bench noise.

Keywords

Test bench, background noise, coal crusher engine.
