Abstract
The Kansk-Achinsk coal basin is the largest in Russia in terms of brown coal reserves, used primarily for the needs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and nearby subjects of the Russian Federation. The enterprises of the coal industry and related industries employ thousands of workers involved in the Miner’s Day, celebrated in Russia on August 25, 2024. The tradition of holding folk festivals dates back to the event that took place on August 30-31, 1935, when the “Stakhanov movement” was born. The use of professional traditions has a positive moral and psychological impact on mining collectives, the population of mining towns and cities, because for many, the mining profession is a life’s work. Therefore, a professional holiday becomes an occasion to reward the leaders, pay attention to industry veterans, as well as to draw attention to historical milestones in the development of deposits and sections, in this case, the Kansk-Achinsk coal basin.
