Abstract
The current situation makes the issue of developing rational subsoil use more and more acute, the resolution of which is largely dependent on the process of transforming the attitudes of the economic entities. Allencompassing industrialization and the market principles of business development inhibit the process of transition to socially-oriented and ecologically-sound entrepreneurship. The article identifies objective economic reasons behind the robber attitude to the natural resources. A particular attention is paid to analyzing the anti-rent revenues received in the mining industry, as well as ways to minimize them.
