Abstract

The article discusses the relationship between the man-induced impact and the health of the population in the territories of current and prospective coal mining in the Russian Arctic, including the one based on the decoupling index characteristics. The authors predict (by 2030) a long-term negative impact of the environmental load in terms of the carbon monoxide emissions on development of the disability factors for the population of the Arctic and sub-Arctic territories, the dependence of the general morbidity level and the gross product volume; respiratory diseases and the level of the aggregate carbon monoxide emissions. Considering the verified statistical indicators of the impact of carbon monoxide emissions on the health of the population, the predominance of the expansive-recessive type of decoupling in 2018-2022, it is recommended to take the indicators of the health capital of the population into account when assessing the performance of coal industry enterprises.
