Abstract
This article discusses the problem of making a logistical decision in the coal industry. Due to the lack of effective data analysis tools, the process of choosing the optimal route based on the most up-to-date information takes a long time. To solve this problem, it is necessary to use modern business intelligence systems, thanks to which it is possible not only to use a large number of sources for analysis, but also to apply new tools, including neural networks. Automating the collection of up-to-date information will save professional logisticians time by freeing them from the routine tasks of updating simulation models, which have been used in building logistics chains. The business intelligence system will also allow you to receive various infographics for a detailed review of each of the possible routes. The article presents models of business processes of the logistics department before and after the implementation of the BI-system in the IDEF0 notation. As a result of the compiled models analysis, the implementation of the considered systems will reduce the process by automating two of its six stages.
