Abstract
This paper investigates the problem of increasing the fault tolerance of control and testing equipment (CTE) in the coal industry. It is shown that the traditional two-alternative approach to self-control of CTE is suboptimal. It is proposed to divide the structure of CTE into three functional parts: control and preparation equipment, performance control equipment and operation control equipment. It is determined that the introduction of multi-alternative assessment of the CTE state allows to increase the efficiency of the control system of the coal-mining complex. It is established that traditional selfmonitoring reduces the probability of successful preparation of the system for operation. It is suggested to take into account the probability of false rejection and undetected failure to optimise the self-monitoring process. The expediency of implementation of fault-tolerant CTE with multi-alternative state estimation for aerogas control systems in coal mines is substantiated.
