Abstract
The paper investigates the possibility of using D coal for energy production by gasification with subsequent use of the resulting synthesis gas in combined cycle gas turbine plants. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the efficiency of the process of gasification of coal grade D and to determine the main characteristics of the resulting generator gas. It is shown that at gasification of 100 kg of coal of mark D the generator gas with average calorific value of 15.78 MJ/kg is formed. It is determined that the coefficient of efficiency (COE) of D coal gasification is 65.59%. The detailed analysis of material and heat balances of gasification process has been carried out, the quantity of main components in the composition of gasification products such as dry gas, gas moisture, ammonia, tar, fly ash and slag has been established. The use of Dobrokhotov’s method and modelling of layer gasification according to the technology of gas turbine plants operating on synthesis gas is proposed.
