Abstract

The actual or operational number of quarry dump trucks required to work with a single unit of excavation and loading equipment is usually determined by rounding the calculated value depending on the availability of dump trucks or existing experience in operating excavator-truck complexes by adding a dump truck with a lower load capacity to the transport chain. This paper presents a possible option for equipping the transport chain with an increased number of dump trucks to reduce the downtime of the main excavator.
