Abstract

Using the example of a resources-extractive region, the authors examine the relationship of four types of rent: natural resource, intellectual, transformational, institutional and their integration into regional rent. It is established that each of them performs its functions in the sustainable development of the economy and society in a specific territory: the first is a resource-providing one, the second is the development of the anthropic (human) origin, the last two are the formation of a socio-economic order. But only the realization of their interdependence in the form of regional rent ensures the efficiency of subsoil use, which is necessary for sustainable development. Therefore, the model of the interdependence of types of rent is proposed to be considered as the basis for the efficiency of the management mechanism in the sphere of Russian subsoil use in a specific territory and, thereby, as the basis for the sustainable development of the country’s economy as a whole.
