Abstract

The article presents the results of studying the condition of coal-fired thermal power plants obtained using the remote sensing data. Remote monitoring and analytical calculations helped to reveal the production potential of the coal-mining industry in the Southeast Asia. The geographical location and the number of coal-fired thermal electric power plants have been determined. Based on the results of analytical calculations, the total production potential of thermal power plants for electricity generation has been estimated.
